Originally Ribbons & Beaux, the shop has been established in the small village of Skelmanthorpe, just outside Huddersfield, for over 20 years. Initially starting out selling the very traditional clothing for the younger children, it has expanded to meet a growing diversityof needs for the children and young adults of today.
In 2002 Wanda became a partner with the original owner and after 2 years bought her out to become the sole owner, changing the name and expanding the shop.
The shop now takes on the proud name of R&B, and the decision behind this name change was very simple. With the ever growing market of youngsters, and the changing brands and styles that R&B was stocking, it only seemed right to give it a more upbeat name for the new trends hitting the high street.
As well as the name change, Wanda also doubled the size of the shop and with this came a more relaxed shopping experience everytime you visit.
R&B has a well established reputation for bringing quality and 'high end' labels to the Huddersfield area for boys and girls, newborn to 18 years. Brands include, Diesel, Replay, Catimini, Pampolina, Timberland, DKNY, Oilily, Gant, O'Neill, No-No, Hackett, Absorba, Confetti, Ripcurl, Levis and Chipie.
R&B has recently taken the decision to start stocking ladieswear again, to meet the changing needs of teenagers, young adults and mums. We have started with a small collection of fab summer dresses and skirts from the Lipsy and Rare collections. The feedbacks been great so far, which gives us the confidence to expand further.
